Greetings from Paris
A shot I had to share
We were only in Paris for a few days and I hadn’t planned to send any virtual postcards. But on our last evening we had an after dinner stroll along the Seine and were treated to an amazing sunset. I just had to share it!
This photo was taken with my phone from the Pont au Double, a pedestrian bridge which leads to Notre Dame on the Île de la Cité. I’ve not done anything to the colours in post editing, only cropped a little and added my usual framing.
It was a warm Sunday night and plenty of people were out enjoying the weather, the views and of course the Parisian café culture. And of course this glorious sunset! What a perfect way to round off our annual visit to our favourite city.

Of course, other places have amazing sunsets, often in the “Tropics”, but I love the late daylight in Paris (and sunset).

You probably know, but there’s an app for creating postcards from your photos, that you can send, all in the app. That is so worthy.

Oh yes, I use that myself a lot. I hardly ever buy actual postcards these days, apart from for myself if I’m in a place where photography isn’t allowed!
