Gallery: simply red part two

Josef Albers, artist and art teacher

All my previous Simply Red squares were from recent trips, as in the past few years I’ve started tagging all my better shots. I included all the colours in anticipation of future colour challenges, so it was great to make use of the tags, especially as quite a bit of work goes into the tagging process.

However I haven’t made a lot of progress in tagging my huge backlog of folders from pre-2023. I’ve worked through a few favourite trips, but most are still waiting for me to find the time and inclination to tackle them! Nevertheless, I was sure if I browsed through some of those folders I would find plenty more red images in my archives.

And so it proved; red is an easy colour to spot with even a quick glance in a folder. Here then is a further selection of reds from around the world.

My feature photo was taken in Rapperswil, near Zurich, Switzerland, and proved impossible to square!
